We’ve personally met all the weight loss and cosmetic surgeons who work with us out of the SurGal Clinic on many occasions, so we know them by first name.

We also speak to them on a daily basis whenever they are working with us because we want to make sure you understand how a procedure will work and that you are happy with how they’re approaching your care and needs.

Introducing Dr Tomas Paseka

Dr Paseka is one of the many highly qualified and caring bariatric surgeons we know, trust and work regularly with at the SurGal Clinic.

He’s very highly qualified – a senior consultant – and has taught and worked professionally in university and private practices for more than eleven years. As you would expect, he invests a great deal of time getting to know a person’s situation and their particular needs and hopes. He speaks fluent English and French too!

Meeting Dr Paseka

Then, if we think weight loss surgery might help you achieve your goal, we can arrange for you to have a friendly and informal video chat with Dr Paseka, for example over Skype.

Again, this is an opportunity for you to get to know the person who might end up being your surgeon and for him to get a clear understanding about your situation, your goals and whether or not weight loss surgery definitely is the right option for you.

He likes to make sure his potential patients are fully aware of what weight loss surgery involves and what to expect. He takes great care to help patients prepare by explaining what they will need to know and do at each stage of the process. He’ll explain how a particular procedure will work, what the likely outcome will be and how to adjust to a new life, post-surgery.

In his own words:

“Bariatric surgery is one option for achieving weight loss, the real change will come when the person sees it as only the first step in a gradual process of changing and improving their life. The first day after surgery is the first day of a new life. Lasting success will only come by making other lifestyle changes such as changing your diet and taking regular exercise. This is crucial. But, this shouldn’t be done alone. Having family, friends and colleagues to support you is important because they will be there for you when you most need them.”

He also offers exceptional after-care and support by putting in place a full recovery programme for you, because he likes to make sure that even when you leave the clinic, and weeks and months later, you have the support you need.

We couldn’t agree more and we hope you agree the “personal approach” is certainly not a cliche in Dr Paseka’s case.
