About the Surgeons
Below, you will find a description of each of the highly qualified and experienced surgeons at the award-winning SurGal Clinic who perform weight loss surgeries and cosmetic procedures on behalf of Ivy Health.
Meet the surgeons
As well as choosing which weight loss or cosmetic surgery to have, it’s important to meet and get to know the surgeon who will carry out your procedure. Meeting your surgeon is also an important opportunity for them to get to know you and build up a clear idea of your personal situation and your precise needs.
Step by step
Before you meet your surgeon, the first step is for you to have a free, no-obligation consultation with us here in the UK, either on the phone or in person. This is an informal chat, but it is important because it will help us learn about your requirements and understand you, as a person.
This understanding will help us identify which surgery is right for you and which surgeon is best suited and qualified to meet your needs. You can learn more about the exact process we will follow on our Process page.
Meet the surgeon before deciding
Then, if you would like, we can arrange for you to meet your surgeon in person, at the clinic, before you make a final decision whether to have weight loss or cosmetic surgery or not. This meeting would also be long before the date of any potential surgery.
We will arrange this meeting for you and is charged at £100, which is payable before you meet. You would need to arrange and pay for your flights and accommodation to and from the clinic. The £100 would be deducted off your surgery if you subsequently decide to book surgery at a later date.
- All the staff and surgeons at the clinic speak English and any medical notes will be provided to you in English as well, so there is never any need for a translator.
The clinic is pristine clean and the staff follow an extremely high regimental hygiene process, Laura was on hand to call at any time of the day to assist where necessary. I would have no hesitation in recommending the SurGal Clinic and it’s staff.
No obligation
There is no obligation to go ahead with a weight loss surgery or cosmetic surgery after our initial consultation or after meeting with a surgeon at the clinic. Surgery is an important decision which you must feel happy with and these meetings are the best way for us to help you decide whether it is the right choice for you.
Meeting the surgeon on the day
You will of course meet your surgeon on the day of your surgery, if you decide to go ahead, but meeting the surgeon ahead of your surgery date may give you the chance to find out more about them and the type of surgery you’ve chosen. This could also help you feel more confident about your decision because it may help alleviate any worries or concerns you may have.
Regardless of whether you meet your surgeon before the day of surgery, we will always have a consultation with you in the UK and provide you with all the information you need to make an fully informed and independent decision.
